A journal to help guide teenagers through mental health issues. The Journal will be given out free, needing to be gender neutral and attractive enough for a teenage audience to want to use.
Source approached me to help them elevate their idea to help teenagers going through mental health issues. They wanted a book that acted as an interacted creative journal to help 11-18 years have an interactive way of making sense of their emotions. They wanted to make something that looked appealing to a wide audience of youth and fitted within the culture they were accustomed to.
The project has been tested, adjusted and is currently being rolled out in local high schools
Launch WebsiteThe style is based around Instagram quote culture and modern scrapbooking. It needs to be pleasing to the eye for the target audience, but also approachable. Part of the challenge is designing something that doesn't look like it is supposed to stay clean. It's designed to be written, coloured, drawn and abused. No looking precious here!
