  • About Project
  • The statistics on self harm in teenage girls is substantial and emotional. By most estimates 1 in 4 girl's self harm during their teenage years. Shared Health Foundation approached me after seeing the work I did for Source Youthwork designing 'Trace' and were in need of a designer to take their idea and turn it into a fully fledged book that can be used as a resource to help girls deal with their emotions. They want girls to know that they are not alone and help them deal with emotions in a safer way than self harm through building emotional resilience.
  • Project Brief
  • The brief had a few components involved. The client wanted a book that would appeal to the audience of girls aged 12-18 in a book that would look suitable to be sold in high end stationers such as Paperchase. They had selected an illustrator and wanted the style to sympathise with the illustrations made. The book needs to make sense, giving useful information and interactive elements that offer something truly useful.
